" I think this work would be more effective in changing people's hearts and minds than any number of angry debates. As someone who used to be vehemently pro-choice but had a change of heart, I think a book like "Letters from Baby Doe" would have been invaluable in helping me to "wake up" even sooner....I would recommend "Letters from Baby Doe." I was deeply moved by the author's evident compassion for both aborted children and their mothers. By not demonizing abortive mothers and by extending understanding and forgiveness toward them, C.K. Wyand not only demonstrates profound wisdom and compassion, but also makes his book's message more powerful and convincing."
~~~~A reader from Gaithersburg, MD "I loved your book. As a suggestion, I would love to see some of the babies writing to us and letting us know how much our love of them means to them. These precious children will greet us in heaven. Again thanks, God bless and keep up the good work." ~~~~Sr. Winifred Lyons, SC :: ProLife Coordinator The Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of New York Yonkers, NY "I would give this book to a friend struggling with the guilt of having had an abortion." ~~~~Anonymous "For anyone looking for answers about the mysteries of the creation of life and God's involvement, Letters from Baby Doe will provide invaluable and powerful other-worldly insight that is not available anywhere else. This book is a must-read for anyone wanting to know the long-term effects that aborting a pregnancy may have on one's future and well-being. Letters From Baby Doe is a gift from above. It will bless your life and impact your heart." ~~~~Anthony Padgett :: Founder Courtship In The Covenant Ministries :: New Albany, OH "What a thoughtful and touching way to communicate the heart-wrenching and downright painful reality of abortion! I passed it on to the director of the Ventura County Crisis Pregnancy Center, where I volunteer, and she was very touched and moved by the sentiments expressed in the book. May God bless your work on the second book and all that you do. I pray that this book, and all the rest of your resources to come, will speak to the heart of the woman who feels like she has no other choice but abortion. May God guide women in that situation to this book." ~~~~Kim Rangel :: Volunteer Ventura County Crisis Pregnancy Center :: Ventura, CA "I am very excited about Letters From Baby Doe, and plan to recommend it to abortion-minded clients, post-abortive clients, and donors. I have already begun to spread the word to certain clients, and I will continue. Thanks again for your work in the protection of Human Life." ~~~~Loriann Gennaios :: Exec. Director Angelorum Pregnancy Services :: Seattle, WA "I'm writing to thank you for writing Letters From Baby Doe. All of the letters touched my heart, one of them especially ... Your book will be a great part of our Heart Group. Once again, Thank-you so much, God is using this great book of yours to touch many lives." ~~~~Julie :: Volunteer HeartBeats of Licking County :: Newark, Ohio "When I got to the 3rd letter it affected me deeply, but the 5th one, the letter to the father-the one I feared to read, sent me over the edge. I had to go into my room and write. I was weeping, yet trying to keep it in so my roommates wouldn't hear me ... It was an excellent book with an incredible message. Truly, Letters From Baby Doe has affected me like no other book has." ~~~~Douglas :: Utah "Thank you so much for writing Letters From Baby Doe, I'm sure it will help many. I plan to recommend your book to women who are considering abortion, and to women who are living with the pain of a past abortion." ~~~~Shelly :: Forum Administrator Unplanned Pregnancy Advice Board "I read Letters From Baby Doe and was very deeply moved.... The author's insight to include such various scenarios was very much appreciated ... Thank you and God Bless for a wonderful book!" ~~~~Beverly Ruhland - South Wales, NY "The story took my interest and then my heart. What a precious idea, offered in a format no one has thought to examine before, to my knowledge - the heart of an abortion doctor and aborted children. Instead of condemnation, the messages in the story open up the heart to consider hope, love and forgiveness..." ~~~~Anonymous "I liked the images conveyed by the descriptive wording and how those images came together, within the story, to touch the heart. The images allowed the reader to enter a world, known to some and unknown to others, but still filled with emotions anyone can relate to. Its the emotion invoked from the reader that carries the story and reveals the message intended." ~~~~Kathy V. - Louisiana "A very unexpected beginning to the book. From the title, the reader is expecting it to jump into the letters; instead you find this intriguing novel. Readers are getting much more than expected. It also has a different take on the issue and a different tone. Rather than condemnation and judgment, the reader is finding rescue followed by a prize-winning finish." ~~~~Tammy D. - Virginia "C. K. Wyand has produced a truly thought-provoking work. Through the richly detailed narrative, this book paints a picture of the very real effects of abortion on both the parents and the unborn. I highly recommend this book for anyone considering abortion or for those who are searching for healing from abortion related trauma." ~~~~Travis Z. - Ohio "Letters From Baby Doe offers hope and healing to those whose lives have been changed by abortion." ~~~~L. Payne - Ohio "This book helped me! I once drove a blind girl and her aunt to an abortion clinic. I've never forgotten that experience.. The young girl had no say in what happened to her or her child - the aunt simply didn't want to deal with the 'issue.' The girl cried all the way there and all the way home. The entire time her aunt insisted that her niece didn't realize what was happening. This young girl was only blind, not retarded, and was aware of what was happening. I've wondered about the quality of her life ever since then. Adoption would have been the perfect answer for her and her child." ~~~~I. Andries - Louisiana "This book is a fresh approach to the topic of abortion. I hope the letters are an encouragement to those who are post-abortive and impactful on those who are considering abortion as their only alternative." ~~~~Veronica W. - Ohio |
